As Canadian boat builders with decades of experience in constructing large-scale boats using both wood and composite materials, Resolve Composites has first hand experience on the environmental impact of products at the end of their life cycle. We recognize our responsibility for the products we manufacture and are committed to creating innovative solutions that enhance sustainability in the composite industry. Through our novel process, ReceTT, and our creative approach to addressing industry challenges, we aim to facilitate the adoption of new resin and solvent technologies in order to transform composite recycling.

OUR JOURNEY
As boatbuilders we understand composite materials and the heavy toll they take on the environment at their end-of-life. We explored recyclable resins and solvent technologies with promising applications for our industry. Recognizing conventional recycling processes posed significant challenges in utilizing the full potential of these emerging technologies, we developed an innovative and accessible solution, ReceTT technology. Our novel process optimizes the capabilities of these new recyclable resin and solvent technologies, enabling recycling of composite products with large complex geometry in a sustainable and economical system.
Realizing the broader applications of ReceTT recycling across various composite industries, we proactively engaged wind turbine manufacturer, Siemens Gamesa in discussions about a partnership. This initiative marked an innovative and pioneering effort to leverage our technology for mutual benefit, aiming to create sustainable solutions for the complex challenges facing all composite industries and the environment - to demonstrate this we launched The Second Wind Project.
